Welcome to RE:source!


Welcome to the new blog for the Resource Center of the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia!  This will be an exciting place to visit!  Frequently updated, this blog will feature new and reviewed items available for check-out in the PEVA Resource Center, programs and ideas from around our presbytery, and helpful destinations on the world-wide web!

So, what exactly is a blog?  From Wiktionary:

blog (plural blogs)
  1. (Internet) website that allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics in the form of an online journal while readers may comment on posts. Entries typically appear in reverse chronological order.
And you keep up with the blog... how?  You may subscribe to RE:source using Google Reader, Bloglines, or other web-based personal news aggregator; this method is especially helpful if you follow lots of blogs/sites as they can be managed in one place.  You may subscribe by e-mail, choosing to receive an e-mail when this blog has been updated with a new post.  You may also choose to become a follower of this blog, telling us and other readers that you are a fan of RE:source.  All you have to do is click on one of the gadgets on the sidebar to the right and follow the directions... it's that easy!

What about the section in the right sidebar titled, "The Web"?  Great resources!  These are links to websites of interest to clergy, to educators, to Presbyterians, to YOU!  Click on one and begin exploring.

You've added the Daily Lectionary AND Bible Gateway?  Yep, these two features are goodies for you! Follow the Lectionary as part of your daily meditation or search the Word using Bible Gateway directly from RE:source with a simple click.
